ACPI was waorking better in previous version of kernel, but was downgraded(?), destroyed(?), to much cleand up(?) beetwen version 2.4.14 and 2.4.15. (Probably here: - Arjan van de Ven: clean up acpitable implementation - from http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.4/testing/old/patch-2.4.15.log) When I discover what was the reason, I'll try to talk to ACPI folks about it. But ACPI were never fully functional (sleep, standby didn't work) ------------- I have nearly finished more detailed step by step modem instalation instruction.
